Becoming a Centre

There are just 5 simple steps to becoming an IQ Centre and our team are happy to guide you through the process should you need any help. To begin the process you can download a copy of the centre approval guide which will take you through the process in detail.

The 5 steps are:

  1. Submit the centre approval form.
  2. We review your submission.
  3. Centre visit (for centres that are not yet approved with another awarding body).
  4. Centre approval status gained.
  5. External Verification visit upon your 1st Certification Claim (subsequent initial registrations for other qualifications are usually verified electronically).

For more information and additional approval forms, please visit the dedicated approvals section of our website.

For pricing information please see the IQ Price Guide.

Benefits of Becoming a Centre

Value: Pricing for IQ qualifications is competitive and transparent, applied equally and reflective of the cost of delivery. We operate a simple fee structure, with prices dependent on the effort required by IQ to run the award. Our prices are determined by the assessment technique used and the time taken to mark or assess the evidence. By way of example, a level 2 short answer test of an hours duration is the same price as a level 3 short answer test of the same duration, and the prices are the same, however many candidates are registered.

Service Delivery: All IQ awards are underwritten by service level guarantees. Should IQ fail to meet the guarantees provided, no charge is made for the qualification concerned.

Quality: IQ is a premium brand and our assessment materials meet exacting industry standards. Our focus is to ensure value to learners and end users in the qualifications that we deliver.

Development: Centres are encouraged to engage with IQ Qualifications LLP in the development of IQ Nationals for the QCF, or centre devised qualifications for our customised framework. Our barriers relate to quality and not certification volumes which means that we are more responsive than most to low volume qualifications.
