Funding for Glass Apprenticeships Now Available

IQ are pleased to announce that from today funding is available for five separate apprenticeship pathways in the Glazing and Fenestration sector, with more on the way soon.

The Intermediate Apprenticeship in Glass Industry Occupations (level 2) can now be completed through IQ with Government funding via several pathways, including Fenestration Installation (Pathway 5), Fabrication of Glass Supporting Structures (Pathway 6) or Photovoltaics Installation (Pathway 11). The Advanced Apprenticeship in Glass Industry Operations (Level 3) has also been cleared for funding throughFenestration Installation (Pathway 4) or Fenestration Surveyor (Pathway 5).

Today’s news helps strengthen IQ’s already impressive offering in this sector, which has recently been bolstered by the addition of the level 3 NVQ in Fenestration Installation. With more pathways and qualifications coming in December, plus the addition of IQ Functional Skills from early 2013, our apprenticeship offer is quickly shaping up to be the most complete choice on the market.

Current IQ centres wishing to offer the new qualifications can do so through applying with the qualification approval form, available on the Centre Guidance Portal or if you are interested in becoming an IQ centre or simply finding out more then please get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.
