Level 3 Award in Education & Training

This month we've added a brand new qualification to our Teaching & Education sector, the IQ Level 3 Award in Education & Training.

The qualification is designed to provide an introduction to teaching and is suitable for a wide range of trainee teachers, including those not currently teaching or training, and is now available for registrations.

We are expecting a lot of interest in this qualification from centres, as it has been designed to replace the PTTLS (IQ Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector), as part of an initiative to simplify the qualification framework for teacher training.

Please note that in order to provide a number of this award's optional learning and development units, centre staff must also hold a relevant assessor qualification (such as the IQ Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Enviroment). We will therefore be offering centres two approval options for this qualification; one with the optional units and one without.

IQ will shortly be in touch with all centres that are currently approved to offer PTTLS to discuss how they wish to transition to the new qualification (though PTTLS will remain operational for the next 6-8 months). If you would like more information in the meantime, please see the new specification or contact the qualification development team at IQ.

Registrations will be charged at £40. If you are interested in adding this award to your list of approved qualifications, please get in touch.
