*Operational Update* Changes To IQ Bookings.

Important Information Regarding Assessment Booking

Please be advised that Industry Qualifications will be implementing important changes to our Assessment Booking System from Saturday 25th August that will affect all centres delivering assessment based qualifications.

On review of IQ processes and procedures this system amendment has been highlighted as a requirement in order for us to fulfil continuous improvement of our Quality Assurance Processes.

From Saturday 25th August, IQ centres will be required to submit assessment bookings with a minimum of 5 working days’ notice in advance of the assessment date - this amendment will mean that the system will no longer allow any assessment bookings to be submitted that are below 5 working days’ notice.

With this in mind, we ask that centres begin to organise the booking of assessments for the week commencing Monday 20th August, the week prior to the deployment, to ensure you are in concordance with the commencing changes. 

Additionally, we ask that the information provided upon booking these assessments (Test Date, Location, Assessment Times) is true, complete and accurate. Assessment Dates and Times should specifically be the coordinated Assessment Date and Times and not dates and times of Training - ensuring these details are accurate will assist your course assessment planning together with avoiding any issues concerning unannounced visits.  Any booked exam(s) that are found not to be taking place should an unannounced visit occur may result in the centre being charged for the visit.  Our aim is for you to avoid this by providing accurate assessment information.

As the Assessment Bookings will now be submitted 5 working days in advance, we also request that assessment bookings that will no longer be going ahead are cancelled with at least 24 hours notice, either by email to our Operations team (info@industryqualifications.org.uk) or by use of our cancellation system on IQR. Cancelling assessments with sufficient notice will, again, prevent the possibility of an unnecessary Spot Check visits going ahead and will ensure you are not charged for a visit that was not required.
