Construction projects undertaken by UK firms can be found all over the globe as many firms in the industry specialise in providing high-tech solutions to environmental, transport & building projects.Specialist sectors exist for different types of constructions, for example construction in the oil and gas sector, transportation, warehousing, nuclear and energy, green / eco buildings and residential. The construction industry in the UK employs over 2 million people in over 300 000 firms and contributed 8.3% of the nations GVA (Gross Value Added) in 2008.
