Industry Qualifications (IQ) has agreed with Cogent (the Sector Skills Council for chemical, pharmaceutical, nuclear, petroleum, polymers and life sciences business) and other awarding organisations operating within the Cogent sector footprint, that it will assume responsibility for 38 units for the polymer sector. The other awarding organisations have each assumed responsibility for Cogent units in other industries.

Industry Qualifications (IQ), the UK’s first mutual awarding organisation has been approved by qualification regulator Ofqual, to offer NVQ’s in polymer processing at levels 1, 2 and 3. IQ, which is led by former PTL Chief Executive Raymond Clarke, has been established to provide a very different relationship between centres and their awarding organisation based upon partnership, involvement and quality.
