IQ Further Strengthened by Sallyann Baldry

IQ has announced that with effect from 8th August, Sallyann Baldry will join IQ as Head of Business Development and a Board Director of IQ Ltd. Sallyann, who was employed as Employer Partnerships Manager at Edexcel until 31st of July, is one of a number of leading industry educationalists to commit to IQ in recent months. Sallyann is well known within the sector and was awarded the Imbert Prize by the Association of Security Consultants for her contribution to the sector in 2005.

“The recruitment of Sallyann is a major coup for IQ, and a very public vote of confidence in the vision, objectives and structure of IQ,” said Raymond Clarke, Chief Executive. “Sallyann has a wealth of experience in a wide range of sectors and a tremendous reputation that is richly deserved in the security industry. We are delighted to have been able to attract somebody of Sallyann’s expertise, calibre and standing.”

In response, Sallyann said, “I am really very excited by the opportunity presented by IQ. The adoption of a mutual awarding model as created by IQ is unique and will provide a very different approach to the relationship between centres and their awarding organisation. To be involved in the creation of an awarding organisation that could have such far reaching impact on the education sector is a great privilege and a wonderful challenge. In talking to Raymond, I have been hugely impressed by the clarity of vision and the potential for the organisation, all of which made it very easy to move on from my former role. I am really looking forward to playing my part in creating an awarding organisation renowned for excellence.”
