IQ still has a small number of places remaining for this Friday's Security Sector Development Forum.

The details of the Security Sector Development Forum, which will take place on Friday 26th July between 1030 and 1500, are as follows. The meeting will be held at:

10.45 - 11.00 Welcome and Introduction, Sallyann Baldry, Head of Business Development, Industry Qualifications

11.00 - 11.20 Update from the SIA - Tony Holyland, Competency Manager, Security Industry Authority

11.20 - 11.50 Security Qualifications in Development - Debbie Mallinson, Qualification Development Manager, Industry Qualifications
This session will include information on the newly published Event Security NOS, the IQ Industry Awards in Surveillance and the existing QCF Private Investigators qualification. Information will also be provided on our plans to develop a qualification to meet the requirements of the Community Safety for Accredited Persons Scheme.

11.50 - 12.15 Changes to The Funding Landscape – guidance on the forthcoming changes to the funding of qualifications, Gary Scruby, MD of SAFE Ltd.

12.15 - 12.45 Centre consultation – the direction of travel - open session: your opportunity to give feedback on any aspects of working with IQ and ask us questions. We would also like to hear about what you would like to see IQ accrediting, which will help us to plan future developments.

12.45 - 13.30 Lunch and networking

13.30 - 14.10 Physical Intervention, the on-going debate; Mark Dawes, National Federation of Personal Safety Ltd.

14.10 - 14.30 IQ Resources; promoting your resources and products through the IQ web store, Stephanie Loke, Head of IT and IQ Resources, Industry Qualifications

14.30 - 15.00 Plenary; questions for the speakers and a summary of actions arising from the meeting; facilitated by Sallyann Baldry

15.00 Meeting closes
There is no charge to attend the event and lunch will be provided.

Please note: There are two Holiday Inn Express hotels in Swindon, we are not at the hotel at Junction 15 of the M4 but are at the one next to the railway station. There is also a Holiday Inn so please check that you enter the correct postcode into your sat nav! Parking is available in the station car park (0.1 miles away) at a cost of £6, tickets can be obtained from the hotel.
