About this Qualification
The IQ Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Fenestration Installation is a competence qualification for individuals working as Conservatory Installers and Window and Door Fitters. It includes installing glass supporting systems for conservatories and installing glass supporting systems, which includes window and door units. The qualification covers identifying and rectifying technical problems, improving the work of the organisation and identifying and confirming installation requirements as mandatory, there are also a variety of optional units that the learner may select from. Objectives of this qualification include: meeting relevant programmes of learning and supporting a role in the workplace.
This qualification is the competence element of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Glass Industry Occupations (Level 3), Pathway 4: Fenestration Installation.

Structure
To achieve the IQ Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Fenestration Installation learners must achieve a minimum of 38 credits consisting of: 18 credits from the 4 units in Mandatory group A; a minimum of 9 credits from Optional group B; a minimum of 4 credits from Optional group C; and a minimum of 4 credits from Optional Group D; a minimum of 3 credits from Optional Group E.
Assessment
All units in this qualification are assessed by portfolio. Evidence for this qualification must come from the learner’s consistent performance in the workplace and must meet the requirements of the Proskills QCF Assessment Strategy (see Appendix A at the end of this document). Further guidance for each unit can be found in the assessment guidance relevant to each unit.
All Assessment Criteria must be met in each relevant unit to achieve this qualification.
This qualification is not graded, successful learners achieve a pass.
An Achievement Record for this qualification which includes the forms necessary to map and claim knowledge and competence is available to download from the IQ website.
Assessment for this qualification must also meet the requirements for Additional Requirements for Qualifications that use the title NVQ within the QCF, see appendix B at the end of this document.
Learner Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. However, learners should be able to work at level 1 or above and should be comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
Tutor Requirements
All trainers/assessors and internal verifiers delivering this qualification must meet the requirements as per the Proskills QCF Assessment Strategy (see Appendix A at the end of this document).

Centres must be approved by IQ in order to offer this qualification
